Visionary Weather 42
Mystic Signals and Visionary Humor

(42a) Hand of God over Wichita from Rolled-Up Sleeves: the "Handbasket".
(Montana Maid standing on a snake's head dumps in Wyoming.)
This time the visionary scene in the continental cloud cover was mirrored in the local cloud cover in the sky east of the library, so that it existed on two levels of scale, thematically. In both cases a muscular figure with rolled up sleeves was approaching a feminine figure, and a mask seemed to be involved. I think the event mirrored happened yesterday when the library staff at WSU initially refused to seat me in the afternoon at a library computer, although they had always reliably done so in the past. I was told that it was the new policy of the dean to have community users merely use the community user terminals, and not to log them on at our request on unused student terminals elsewhere. I asked to see the dean about it, who turned out to be a lady on vacation who had left the office to a couple of other ladies. They had me seated at a terminal anyway. After a while, it occurred to me that I was always seeming to come in and be asking for them to hike their asses for me and log me in at a terminal, which is a bit of an imposition, I suppose. I shall have to arrange things in the future so as not to be asking for the staff to get off their bottoms so much. Here "asking" and the figure of a "mask" seem to be connected in a signal concerning the character of the mirrored event.
Incidentally, today I wore a single-piece blue Banlon-type shirt with long rolled-up sleeves, which I seem to detect in the image. I guess the image is partly to warn me that a man coming in to ask you get off your tail and do something is maybe a little scary, so that I had better stop pushing them to hike it off the stool and run their fingers over some buttons for me. Instead, I shall have to come in early and get a vacant seat in the small community user section, or else miss out, or perhaps enroll.

After going home to fish a Judy Collins DVD (Sanity and Grace) out of my player, I went back to the library return it, as I had originally intended. An image of a winged fellow with a big "Z" over his head seemed to be reclining in the clouds over the road, a flat chair bottom or book at his rear. It seemed to signal that I should remember to write carefully, as my literary projections haunt me like a hat or sombrero shimmering over my head in the wind.

(42c) Wichita Hand manages a tooth over Kansas, Colorado Mouth opens wide.
Today the theme returns to dentistry, with the tooth rooted in the tooth of Texas rearing up just beneath the Oklahomapanhandle.
